COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to equip students with the skills to navigate cultural protocols across international borders, helping them succeed in global business settings. Students will learn the basic etiquette required in business meetings across various cultures, focusing on understanding and avoiding specific actions that could hinder positive interactions. This knowledge will help them foster respectful and professional relationships with international colleagues and clients, ensuring smooth and successful business exchanges.

For example, in a business meeting with someone from China, knowing whether to bow, shake hands, or avoid physical contact can prevent awkward situations and build mutual respect. Failing to implement proper protocol can lead to embarrassment, misunderstanding, and even damage business relationships. This course emphasizes the importance of researching and applying international business etiquette to navigate cross-cultural interactions with sensitivity and finesse, ensuring successful outcomes in the global marketplace.
