Welcome to the USILACS Institutional Policies and Governance course. This course is designed to ensure that you have a comprehensive understanding of the foundational rules, administrative procedures, and academic standards that govern your educational journey at the United States Institute of Language and Clerical Studies.
To successfully complete this course, you must pass two extensive and rigorous multiple-choice exams. Please be aware that the exams within this course are based strictly upon the following official institutional documents:
USILACS Student Handbook
USILACS Academic Catalog
Note on Accessing Documents: You can easily find both of these resources located within the Materials tab of this course. Navigating to this tab will automatically open the files in a convenient, embedded PDF format so you can read them directly on your screen.
Study Requirement for “Staff Exam Handbook” & “Academic Catalog Exam”: The assessments in this course are highly detailed and designed to test specific nuances, exceptions, and procedural rules found within these texts. Because the answers will only be obvious if you have closely read the material, it is highly encouraged that you conduct a diligent and thorough study of both documents prior to taking the two exams. Please take the time to review the grading standards, code of conduct, financial obligations, and academic integrity policies outlined in the provided PDFs. Once you feel confident in your comprehension of the material, you may proceed to the first exam.
Study Requirement for “Enrollment Interface Exam”: Please note that this exam is based entirely on the new USILACS enrollment system. Before proceeding, it is expected that you have thoroughly tested the platform and possess a complete understanding of how the system operates and how students interact with it.
If you have not yet completed your testing and review of the system workflows, please do so before taking this exam.
