Education, Opportunity, and Service Since 2017
USILACS (United States Institute of Language and Clerical Studies) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational institution headquartered in Ocala, Florida, USA. Since 2017, USILACS has combined structured academic programs with a charitable educational mission focused on expanding access to education, practical skills, and meaningful opportunity for students and communities in the United States and internationally.
USILACS provides a full educational pathway that includes High School Equivalency Programs, Career Certificate Programs, Associate Degree Programs, Bachelor’s Degree Programs, and Master’s Degree Programs. Its flexible online model is designed to help students continue their education while balancing employment, family responsibilities, geographic limitations, and other real-life circumstances.
Affordability is also built into the USILACS model. Through country-based tuition, educational costs are adjusted to reflect differing economic conditions around the world, helping make the same USILACS educational opportunities more attainable across countries with very different income levels while maintaining consistent academic standards.
USILACS also structures its programs so students can continue forward without unnecessary duplication. Where completed USILACS coursework applies toward a higher credential, students are not required to pay again for the same completed course. This connected pathway allows learners to begin at the educational level appropriate for their circumstances and continue advancing as their goals, finances, and opportunities develop.
The charitable purpose of USILACS extends beyond awarding academic credentials. For years, the institution and its personnel have also supported English-language education, practical skills development, workforce readiness, international educational outreach, and service to people whose finances, geography, displacement, limited prior education, or life circumstances can restrict access to opportunity.

Built on Integrity, Service, and Global Engagement
Beyond its formal academic programs, USILACS carries out charitable educational outreach intended to expand learning, stability, employability, and opportunity in communities where access to education and practical resources may be limited.
USILACS and its personnel have years of international experience working with missionaries, international learners, migrants, displaced individuals, and underserved communities. In Southeast Asia, this experience includes direct educational outreach in Thailand and Myanmar-connected communities, including work with children, young adults, and families affected by poverty, migration, displacement, and interrupted access to education.
- Community Education and Language Support: English-language instruction, literacy, practical learning, and life-skills activities designed around the needs of local communities.
- Child and Youth Educational Outreach: Educational activities serving economically disadvantaged Thai and Myanmar children and young people, including communities affected by poverty and displacement.
- Digital Skills and Workforce Development: Training in computer use, data-related work, digital communication, social-media support, workplace expectations, and other practical employment skills.
- Education-to-Employment Pathways: Practical training designed to help individuals with limited prior educational opportunity build employable skills and transition toward lawful, stable paid work.
- Refugee, Migrant, and Displaced-Person Support: Educational and practical assistance intended to strengthen stability, independence, and access to safer economic opportunities for people facing displacement or migration-related barriers.
- International Transition Support: Extensive practical experience assisting missionaries, migrants, refugees, displaced individuals, and international workers with documentation, relocation, visa processes, and lawful work-permit procedures where appropriate.
In Thailand, USILACS has put this education-to-employment approach into practice by training Myanmar participants with limited prior formal education in English, digital skills, data-entry work, social-media-related tasks, workplace expectations, and other practical competencies. Participants have been able to use those skills in lawful paid employment through affiliated operations in Southeast Asia, with practical assistance in navigating work authorization and related requirements.
This work reflects an important part of the USILACS charitable mission. Poverty, displacement, limited education, language barriers, and lack of lawful employment can increase vulnerability to unsafe labor, exploitation, trafficking, child exploitation, and other forms of abuse. By expanding access to education, employable skills, lawful work, and greater economic stability, USILACS seeks to help reduce those underlying vulnerabilities and create safer pathways toward independence.
USILACS recognizes the importance of safeguarding children, young adults, displaced populations, and other potentially vulnerable people participating in educational and outreach activities. Responsible conduct, dignity, appropriate boundaries, and protection from exploitation are fundamental to the way such activities should be carried out.
USILACS maintains its primary headquarters in Ocala, Florida, while supporting international educational and administrative activity in Southeast Asia, reflecting a commitment to U.S.-based institutional leadership together with responsible local engagement.
Institutional Status and Disclosures
USILACS operates as a Florida-based nonprofit educational institution and is organized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization with charitable and educational purposes. USILACS is listed with the State of Florida as a religious institution for regulatory purposes and has been institutionally accredited by NACCUA since 2017. Education remains the institution’s principal function, supported by charitable educational outreach and international service activities consistent with its nonprofit mission.
